The fabric conditioners can contain a chemical impurity, ethylene oxide, a carcinogen that can cause adverse health effects if there is significant and direct long-term exposure. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fabric conditioners and contact The Laundress for instructions to receive a full refund. Consumers who have previously requested a refund for these products in response to The Laundress’ December 2022 recall and reimbursement program should not submit a new request. Consumers who purchased the recalled products on or after January 2021 can request a refund using either a photo of the lot code with their initials and the date written in marker or a receipt, or if purchased through www.TheLaundress.com, consumers can submit their e-mail address for a refund. Consumers who purchased the recalled products before January 2021 should take a photo of the lot code with their initials and the date written in marker and contact The Laundress for a full refund of the purchase price, with receipt, or of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, without receipt. After requesting a refund, consumers should dispose of the product by closing the bottle tightly and placing it in household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal. |

IKEA announces recall for repair action of certain LETTAN mirrors, due to breaking wall fittings IKEA urges all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it, and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge. Customer safety is the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, we are announcing a recall for repair action on LETTAN mirrors with a date stamp before and including 2105 (YYWW), due to risk of breaking wall fittings. IKEA develops its products using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program, to make sure that the products live up to all applicable laws and standards on the markets where they are sold. Despite this it has come to our attention that some of the fittings that attach LETTAN mirrors to the wall, have been breaking. This has in turn led to some mirrors unexpectedly falling. The recalled products can contain bacteria, including Burkholderia cepacia complex, Klebsiella aerogenes and multiple different species of Pseudomonas, many of which are environmental organisms found widely in soil and water, and some may also be found in humans. People with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, and underlying lung conditions who are exposed to the bacteria face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, or through the eyes or a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. Consumers should stop using the affected products. Consumers are requested to go www.TheLaundressRecall.com where they will be guided in case of any questions and request reimbursement. Clarks has recently become aware that the Brinkley Step (Article No. 26166603) ("Recalled Product") may contain azo dyes. Specifically, CAS 92-87-5 (benzidine) and CAS 119-90-4 (dimethoxybenzidine) may be present in the uppers of the Recalled Product. While CAS 92-87-5 (benzidine) and CAS 119-90-4 (dimethoxybenzidine) are not prohibited in Malaysia and no injuries or consumer complaints associated with this issue have been reported, Clarks has voluntarily decided to initiate a product recall in the abundance of precaution to ensure the safety of our customers. 84 pairs of the Recalled Product were sold into Malaysia. Consumers will be entitled to a full refund from the retailer where they purchased the product. |
